SHE MISSED IT BY JUST ONE DAY

Being born on Halloween is what I'm talkin' about!

Happy birthday, Laura.

CATCHUP ... BUT NOT FOR YOUR HAMBURGER

I've been waiting to post some of these cards.
The time has now come to share!

First up is a card sent to a friend
that's going through some rough patches.
She recently told me that her ancestors
used to have one of these photo booths.
Fitting, right?
Hoping this brightens Patty's world.

Another (very late - but not forgotten)
thank you card to very dear friends.

I am still thanking people
for their over-the-top generosity for giving to my son.
People that have never met him.
People that I've never met.
Vicki is the best of the best with a heart of gold (and then some!)

Somebody saw the above card on the kitchen island
and asked me to use the same image on a card for his wife.
Same, but with a completely different look.

He also saw this image on another card
and asked me to create a card for his mom.
You've already seen this image on an anniversary
card for our friends.
Always amazes me just how different an image looks
just by changing up everything that adorns the card.

Never too late (especially in Texas)
for a October birthday picnic.
Happy birthday, Krista!

How about another birthday card?
Bill celebrated a couple of days ago.

Well, if you can't take her to Paris,
then give her a little Paris for your 31st wedding anniversary.
Keep on honeymooning, James and Carey!

That's all for now, folks.
Stay tuned for more cards!

Yesi!

Today Yesi becomes a teenager.
Wow - 13.

She's finally grown into these boots
and will soon be ready for high heels.

Happy birthday, sweet girl!

I WASN'T SURE

… if her birthday card was going to be
gifted on her birthday or not.

So I am posting the day after.

Happy birthday, Penny!

TIMING

Poor Julie.
Yesterday was a knee replacement.

Like I said … TIMING.
Today she celebrates a birthday.
Probably not the way she wants to spend her day.

At least she'll get some extra attention, right?
Get back on your feet real soon
and
happy birthday!

POSTING LATE - ON PURPOSE

I wasn't sure if she received this yesterday,
which was her actual birthday,
so I'll post today.
And cross my fingers!

My friend's Aunt Rose celebrated
another birthday.

To honor and recognize her,
here's the card.

Happy birthday, Rose!

A DAY OF CELEBRATIONS

Yesterday was a day of celebrations!

Cass had a birthday!
How about that tote?
And the sunflower?
And the greenery?
And the nail?
Happy birthday, Cass!

Averick turned 50.
Actually, a few days ago,
but his party was yesterday.

The only thing missing from this rustic porch
is a comfy chair.
I know I'd love to sit out there in the early morning
and watch the sun burn off that fog.

And there was a wedding for Chris and Jeff.
Bettcha you can guess where they will be honeymooning.
Congratulations!

All in all, it was a busy and joyful day.

IT'S A GREAT DAY TO CELEBRATE A BIRTHDAY

And that's exactly what Kathy is doing today!

Here's hoping it's a fabulous celebration
with the ones that love you.

May your family and friends
be the flowers in your life.

Happy birthday, Kathy.

(Photo Credit goes to Vicki Boster - thank you for allowing me to use your beautiful photo.
Thank you to The Gardner for tending to the flowers.)

WHY???????????????

Why are my photos not uploading from my phone?

Second time in a week.

Dang!

Because of that, I completely forgot
all about posting the card I created
for my sister's birthday - on her birthday.

I chose this image because it so reminded me
of her grandson, Oliver.

Happy birthday, Dodie!

BOY, WAS I WRONG

I created this card nearly a month ago.
Delivered it on time and everything.
Didn't want to post on my blog
or put on Facebook (and tag Rachel)
until her mom's birthday.

When I went to do this, no picture of the card.
I was almost positive I took a picture
but couldn't find it.

For some crazy reason,
it never downloaded (or is it uploaded?)
from my phone.

So, without further adieu ...
I sure hope birthday gramma
enjoyed seeing this little guy when she opened the envelope!

TAKING A BREAK

Yes, taking a break from Thank You cards
so that I can share a birthday card.

I know I'm a few days late (thanks to no Internet service)
but she (on the right) did receive this on time
and rumor has it that she loved it!

Happy sweet 16th birthday, Megan!

SWEET SIXTEEN

Believe it or not, but I remember mine!
I hope Miss "D" remembers hers for the rest of her life.

Even though it was the first day back to school,
I'm sure she had a wonderful day.

This photo was taken of her
when she was on vacation this year.
How fun is that?
Wow - can't imagine traveling abroad
as a teenager.
Good for you!

Happy, happy birthday.

PS - I knew your mamma when she
was just your age.

SHE WAS MY MAID

And last week we got to see each other.
First time in nearly 10 years!

We speak on the phone and text,
but it's just not the same as being together.

We didn't skip a beat.
Not one!

Made this card ahead of time
to give to her in person.

Oops!

Forgot.

Mailed it and I'm sure she got it on time.

Sure miss that girl.
Hope your birthday is fabulous!

HE HAS A THING FOR CHICKENS

Rubber Chickens, to be more specific!
And he pulled The Runner over to the dark side, too.

So of course a chicken card.

This year we were fortunate enough
to hand-deliver his card and spend time with him in person.

It was great seeing you, dear friend!
We hope your birthday is fantastic.

HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN YEARS

… but I'll always remember her!

Spur of the moment,
I saw that The Jackson 5
would be appearing at The Front Row
the next night.

I knew our girls would love to see them.
Even though it was a spur of the moment decision,
we scored seats in the fourth row!

The row behind was empty until the second half.
And then that's when the sisters filled the seats.

The girls couldn't decide if they should watch the show
or turn around and talk with the girls.
How exciting when you're in the fourth grade!

I remember how beautiful Phyllis' yard was, too.
Can't remember if she had any flowers like these though.

Happy birthday, long-ago friend.

ANA O CELEBRATES

My father always used to plant geraniums in the flower beds
in front of our home.

I remember my mother out there picking off
the spent blossoms
and then complaining about
how her hands smelled.

Amazing how a simple image
can conjure memories, isn't it?

Wonder if Ana has any geranium memories.

I hope your birthday was fantastic!

I REMEMBER THE DAY LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY

Except it wasn't!
It was 18 years ago.
Pray tell … where do the years go?

I remember her daddy calling to announce her birth.
He was so excited and proud.

Happy birthday, Julia.

PARTY PUMPS

Time for Katie to slip into these pretty red party pumps
and give it all she's got.

Celebrate big, my soon-to-be granddaughter!

Can't wait to meet you.
Wedding day will be here before you know it.

Happy birthday!

BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES

The card was delivered on time.
But this post somehow slipped through the cracks.

Sweet little Mr. J celebrated July 17
and he turned three years old.

Suppose he enjoyed this card?
Of course he did.
What three-year old doesn't like silly faces?

I know it was a great day for you
doing all things fun:
running, playing, swimming,
going to the gym, cake,
friends and noisemakers.

COUSINS. TWICE REMOVED?

Gosh if I know!

My late Aunt Margie knew though.

My great aunt's son
married Lois.
You figure it out!

Doesn't really matter, I guess.
What matters is that today is her birthday!

Kick up your heels and celebrate!
