October, November and December

Where does the year go?  I ask myself this every single year - and I'm sure you do, too.  It seems the older I get, the quicker the year goes by.  Not that I'm old - it's just an observation.

October is National Boss Day ... my friend's boss received this one.  How nice to work for somebody that you like enough to give him/her a card.

A spry 61-year old gentleman received this card on his birthday.  I hope he enjoyed it!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh ... Halloween.  I created several, but this one was my favorite, by far!

November: the month to give thanks.  This pilgrim spoke volumes to me.

It's also a month of anniversaries and birthdays.  This card was for a former neighbor to give to his wife on their first anniversary.

This card was for a guy that has a thing for skulls - I just couldn't resist.

Not only do we celebrate Christmas in December, some celebrate their birthdays as well.  Some men like skulls and some like baseball.  The Cleveland Indians, specifically.  Right, Dave?

Like us, some marry in December.  Happy anniversary, George and Sweet Alice!

Now.  Where do I begin to choose a favorite Christmas card?  Many were created this year and I agonized over choosing ONE that I liked best.  Actually, I couldn't choose just one, so here are my four faves.

Are you noticing a trend here with the browns and greys?  I chose these colors more often than not this year.  I wonder where my tastes will take me next Christmas.

I just looked at my lists and the numbers shocked me.  I created just shy of 500 cards this year.  No wonder choosing just ONE favorite for each month was difficult!  Thank you for looking at my creations from 2014.  Do you have a favorite?  Please let me know!!!

Did you survive Halloween?

No trick-or-treaters at our door and it's a good thing because I was exhausted.  So tired, in fact, that I went to bed at 7:15 last night.

I would love to share some of my latest creations - all delivered yesterday, which probably exhausted me even more.  Anybody that knows me, knows that I'm not a lover of driving or running errands - and I had lots of them.

First up are two Thanksgiving cards.  One was supposed to go to Julie's brother and sister-in-law but she decided she'd give it to her husband instead.  From what I understand, hubby has a truck just like this one.

This next one was fun to create - yet challenging, too.  You may recognize the image as I used this sweet pilgrim young woman on another card.  As I was creating this, I kept going back to the original in my mind and I had to keep reminding myself: you already did that so do something different.  Here's the second one I created which is going to Julie's aunt in Minnesota.

Now look at the original card I created using this same image.  Isn't it just amazing how different you can create cards using the same image?  Which card is your favorite?

Julie's aunt is spoiled.  There.  I said it.  Here are two more cards that will eventually be heading her way.  And, yes - she is German and her daughter (and Julie) are redheads!

Next up on my "tour" yesterday was to visit Sweet Alice and deliver her cards.  Here's a Christmas card ... don't you just love Father Christmas?

She requested a "Christian thank you card" for her niece in Boston.  Don't know about you, but I'd love to have that cart of flowers in my yard.

Thank you for looking - I just love sharing what my heart and soul tells me to create.  Now go eat all that Halloween candy!  No calories.  Promise.

Finishing up Thanksgiving

Thanks for stopping by today to look at the rest of the Thanksgiving cards.  There may or may not be more to share this year and if so, you'll be the first to see them.

Without skipping a beat, the chef is riding his float to the kitchen on Thanksgiving day.  Since he's carrying his knife, I decided to use one I've had in my arsenal for years.

This plump turkey is wishing somebody a Happy Thanksgiving Day.

What's not to love about a pilgrim?  Aren't these autumn colors just spectacular?

Next up the lady is baking a pie.  What's your guess - apple? pecan?  Whatever the flavor, I'm sure it'll be delicious.

Last but not least is this group of people gathered in the field to break bread together as they give thanks.

You may or may not have recognized some of the flowers from this post - recognize any of them?

Well, as always, I have my favorite but I always like to get different opinions.  Please share which of these five is yours - and why.

Next up will be a variety: birthday, thank you, Christmas, retirement and promotion cards.  Stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving - a little at a time!

Here's half of the cards I created for this holiday.  The other half can be seen tomorrow so don't go far!

The first one out the gate is this old man fattening up the turkeys.  Oh, those poor turkeys - they think it's their Thanksgiving dinner!  Little do they know, right?

Next up is a Hearty Thanksgiving Greeting.  This young lady sure has her arms full with these pumpkins!

Grateful.  No other word needed on this day of thanksgiving.

This sweet little girl is wishing somebody some Thanksgiving Wishes to go along with that delicious looking pumpkin pie (my favorite, by the way!)

This one just might be my favorite so far.  How lovely is this young pilgrim standing in the snow?

I'm always afraid of getting in a rut and creating the same way all the time.  I have my favorite from this group of five.  What's yours?  What is it that speaks to you?  By knowing this, it allows me to reach my audience rather than just myself.

Thanks for looking now don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the rest.
