Delivered yesterday

Just a little something to say,
"Thank you, Debbi."
You know what you did to deserve this.

I hope this hangs on your tree every year.
And you think of me.

A different kind of Christmas this year for you.
Try to make it a merry one!

I'm feeling like I want to share more ...

Christmas cards, that is.
I'm not sharing my dessert - just sayin'!

I tried to ice skate.
Once.
Only once.
Managed to move about two feet,
my ankles turned in
and down I went.
As I sat there on the ice,
I immediately took the skates off
and headed home.

But JOY to this boy's world.
He looks like he's prepared to have a good time!

Such a sweet little Christmas butterfly.
Wonder where she's headed all dressed up!?!

I love this image.
Kinda makes me cold though!
How beautiful is that tree with all the snow
resting on the branches?
Oh - and the deer?
Spectacular!

Father Christmas.
I wish Santas would wear suits
in colors other than red!

Merry Christmas!
Before we know it, it will soon be here.

I would love to share some more Christmas cards

Get ready ...

This one is for a "Secret Sister"

and this one goes to the in-laws

for a young man's school teacher

and this one is for someone special.

Just a sneak peek.
Stay tuned for more.

Christmas Countdown

Can I just tell you how much fun I'm having?
Jaylen is a six-year old, first grader
that lives across the hall from us.

She and I became friends in early October.
We've decorated the breezeway
for Halloween, Thanksgiving
and most recently,
we decked the halls for Christmas.

When we decorated a few weeks ago,
I hung two stockings on the railing.

I decided to do a Christmas countdown for her.
Beginning December first and every day since then,
I've put a little gift in her stocking.
Nothing big.
Nothing expensive.
Just fun little things.

Day one: two bite-size Payday candy bars
Day two: some images for her to make her own cards
and two keys
Day three: four Sharpies
Day four: a fabric rolled rose pin
Day five: a Post-It note pad
and sheets of Christmas scrapbooking paper
Day six: a snowflake ornament
Day seven: a bird ornament
and tomorrow will be a reindeer ornament.

Best part?
She leaves me little thank you notes!!!

You up for some more Christmas cards?

Well then, let's take a look-see!

She wanted a candy and gingerbread theme.
So that's exactly what she got.

Peppermint candies.
These remind me of my grandmother.
She always had a little bowl of these on her nightstand.

Gingerbread cookies.
Yum!

Of course, more cookies and some houses, too.

And the best gingerbread house of all
with the little homeowner waiting to go inside his home.

Merry Christmas.
May your holiday be sweet.

Dual Birthdays

One friend has two friends.
Both friends share the same birthday,
which was yesterday, by the way.
I'm not sure if they know each other though.
That would be nice
then they could celebrate together.

Happy birthday, Kimberly.

Happy birthday, Dana.

Wishing many happy thoughts
and hopes that
birthday wishes come true.

It's time to share

I'd love to share a few more Christmas cards
I created this year.

By far, THIS one is my absolute most favorite.
The little paper doll did not come with the "skirt."
I sewed (yes, me!) three layers of lace and tulle
and then hot glued it to the doll.

More paper dolls!
Indeed, a Special Delivery.

I just love the composition of this one.
The corrugated cardboard, the cheesecloth,
the feather and the thread.
Just perfect to hide behind
this basket of greens and ornaments.

Ohhhhhhhhh, how this couple reminds me
of days gone by!!!

Can this little angel get any cuter?

Don't worry - there'll be more cards to share
in days to come.

Have you sent your cards out yet?
