With deepest sympathy ...

It makes no difference the age.
No difference at all.

Many say, "well, he/she lived a long life."

But to a loved one, that life is never long enough.
Never.

We always want that person to be around forever.
Always.

Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen.

Last month I had to create six sympathy cards
And this month, two.

Earlier in the month, John's grandmother passed away.

The other day, Steve's father lost his life after a long battle.

Prayers for all.

Happy, happy anniversary

To a couple celebrating 50+ years of wedded bliss.

In case you can't read the sentiment inside:

Another year
to create precious memories
together.

Another year
to discover new things
to enjoy about each other.

Another year
to strengthen a marriage
that defines forever.

It was the day of LOVE ...

How romantic to marry on Valentine's Day!!!
Congratulations, Pat and Don.
I know you two enjoyed your day and each other.
I just couldn't resist going with the reds and the pinks
and the hearts!!!!

And of course, Valentines.
Did you get one yesterday?

Cupid, draw back your bow ...

Will you be Mine?

Love the old fashioned couple.

I LOVE YOU

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

To the One
I hold dear

Kisses, aka slurp

Be my Valentine

With fondest
Love to my
Valentine

The Runner.
Poor guy ... he never gets a card from me.

I have a heavy heart ...

Today would have been my mother's 91st birthday.
I miss her more than I ever thought was possible.
She was my world.

She taught me everything I have ever needed to know.
But she never taught me how to live without her.

That thing called grief?
It never ends.

I'll be going along doing just fine.
And then BAM!

Sometimes I'll be all by myself.
Sometimes I'll be with a group of people.
Sometimes I won't even be thinking of her.
And then all of a sudden, it hits me.
BAM!

It hits me just how much I miss her.
My eyes fill with tears and I'll have to stop to catch my breath.

There is no love like a mother's love.
She loved me before I was born.
And she loved me the day I stood at her bedside as she took her last breath.
That love is powerful and lasts forever.

I miss you, Mom.

Random Acts of Kindness for Valentine's Day

This card went to my friend, Betty.
Left it at her doorstep yesterday while out running errands.

I couldn't leave my friend, Beverly, out either.
She's been a good friend for 21 years.
I can't tell you what I wrote inside,
but she will LOVE it.
(Expecting a call tonight or tomorrow from her
because she'll have to laugh with me.)

This little bluebird of happiness went all the way to San Antonio
to my friend, Helen.

She can hang her anywhere she wants to
and keep it up year-round.
Also to be hung is her Valentine.

Next year, I'll start a little earlier.
Love performing little RAKs to those least expecting
... but most deserving.

Carol

My friend.
She celebrates today!

We go back many years.
Have been through a lot together.
Sad times.
Glad times.

As long as we both shall live, I'll remember you with a smile on my face.

A card from us.

And a card from her ever-loving hubby!

Oh boy - I'd give anything to be able to celebrate with her today!
I'm there in spirit, girl!!!!

Way too long ...

Yes, it's been way too long since I last posted.
It's not that I've been sitting around doing nothing, mind you.

I've been TACKLING it.
I'm proud to say that I have tackled something
every. single. day.
the entire month of January.

It's been something I've been wanting to do for a long time.
You know.
Getting in there and getting rid of stuff.
Donating.  Organizing.  Cleaning Up.

So far, I've made two trips to the donation place
and I have another trunk full to drop off tomorrow.

Like I said - I wanted to do this for a long time.
But I thought ... I don't have TIME to do that.
I absolutely amazed myself.

It really does not take that long to tackle a linen closet.
In just under 30 minutes, top to bottom, each and every single shelf.
DONE.
Something I thought would take me a couple of hours.
Nope.  Under one half an hour.

Hip Hip Horray to me.
I'm reaching my goals the year.
Especially my #16 for twenty-sixteen.
Feels sooooooooooo good.

I've also been making cards.
Here's one for Rachel.
I hope your birthday was magical.
Did you wish upon a star?

Nadine celebrated the other day, too.
I know you enjoyed the festivities in your honor.

Little Emely celebrated her special day on Sunday.
With two cards!

She never got the card below.
It was stolen right off the bench outside our door.
Sad thing is, I know exactly who took it.
Confronted him but of course, he lied.

Sorry to leave you with a sad one, but yet another sympathy card.

I'm off to tackle some flowers stored in the bookshelf.
