Travel the journey

forget where
you've been.
Never lose
sight of
where you're going.
And never
take for
granted the
people who
travel the
with you."

I hope your birthday was happy, Isabella!!!

A one-year anniversary

The time has flown.
Already, Domenica and Josh
are celebrating their first year
of wedded bliss.

May you always hang your hat
as you walk through the door
and then kiss your mate.

Babies' First Christmas

EJ received this tonight.
The image sets inside a wooden box
and measures about 7"x9"
and is displayed on an easel.

Justice received his last week.
This image sets inside a metal tin
and can be displayed on the tree
or on a shelf.

All little boys like animals, right?
Not too baby-ish.
Not too red and green.
Not too Christmas-y
(in case the parents want to keep it in the boys' rooms.)
More than a card
and something they can grow up with.

It's time to shout from the rooftops

"Happy Birthday, Vanessa!"

Do something spectacular
and enjoy the festivities
in your honor.

Be grateful

Not just today ... but every day.

There's just something about pilgrim girls
that makes me swoon.

How simple
yet how much more difficult life was
back then.

Give thanks ...

However you spend your day,
remember to give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my loves,
near and far.

Several people I know are celebrating today

Anniece is one of them.
I hope your day is spectacular.

The Runner celebrates today.
But he didn't get a card from me.
Poor guy!

!! It's time !!

Yes, it's time.
Time to reveal a few
Christmas cards
I've recently made.

Delivered these the other day
and left a trail of happiness.
Oh yeah - and a trail of glitter, I'm sure.

When I see this image, it takes me back.
Way back to when I was in Kindergarten
and learned the song "Away in a Manger"
... hand movements and all.
This card is so pretty and glittery in person.
Wish I could capture it for you.

Such an old soul this Father Christmas is.
Love the unexpected green with pink
rather than the traditional green and red.

Can't you just feel the warmth?
I know I can.

It wouldn't be Christmas
without this tree.
I build it every year and every year
it looks different.
Just like in real life.
This particular tree was made from wallpaper.
Embossed wallpaper.
And then I kissed the branches with glitter.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, how I miss spotting deer
in Pennsylvania and Ohio!
They're such regal creatures.

There's nothing like the first snow of the season.
Not often.
But every once in a while,
I long for these sights.

Alright everybody ...
please let me know which of these six cards
speak to you.
Which is your favorite?

Merry Christmas, everybody.
Wait ... maybe we should wait until Thanksgiving
to be wishing a "merry!"

Christmas Decorating

No, we've not pulled everything out of storage
to deck our halls.
Not yet.

But these two little ones
make me want to.

Several (too many to count!) years ago,
my friend sent me all of the "ingredients"
to make one.

Of course, I never did.
But I saved everything.

She visited last month and we scheduled a play date.
Once we opened the package of clay,
we quickly realized we needed
to go to Hobby Lobby.
What she sent was hard as a rock.

I had enough little bottles
for us to make snowmen.
I made two.
She made one
(I never thought to take a picture of hers though.)

But here are mine.
Sassy, aren't they?

I still have lots of leftovers.
I'll have to make some more
one of these days
(before the clay hardens!)
More little family members.

I'm a little behind ...

So sorry.
For some reason,
these cards never "made the cut."
Meaning I never wrote a post about them.

First up.
This card went to a very sick young lady.
Just a little something to cheer her up.

My cousin celebrated a birthday earlier this month.
I hope it was a happy one!

Teresa celebrated her special day
earlier this week.

And last but not least ...
My friend's friend married.
On the beach.
So how perfect is this image?

Celebrating one more year

Make it a good one, Barb!

Do something special.
Dig into a delicious cupcake.
Treat yourself.
