Happy Birthday, Billy

Well, it's BILL now, but he'll always be Billy to me.
We spent many hours playing together as we grew up.
In all actuality, probably the majority of those hours were spent fighting, not playing.

He is two years my senior and always wanted to be "the boss!"
Especially when he made me play CAR SCHOOL.
WHAT?  Who plays car school?

Cars were his whole life.
He couldn't wait until the new cars came out so that he could go to the dealerships
and collect all the brochures.
Didn't matter what make.
His daddy took him to all of the showrooms.

And he brought home the brochures - two of each.
One for me and one for him.

Did I care about cars?
Nope - not in the least little bit.
Oh - he wasn't being generous so don't be giving me the "awwwwwwwwws."

He brought them home for me to STUDY.
Yes, study.  I was probably the only eight-year-old girl that knew
all about engines, tires and upholstery.

Not only did he make me study them, he was the teacher in our car school
and he gave me tests.
Yes - tests!!!!!

PS - I always flunked.

He also had a parakeet he named Squeaky.
And squeak he did - after I "accidentally" stepped on him one day.
So, when I saw this little boy and girl and the bird cage,
I knew it would be perfect for his card.

Happy birthday, Billy!

Father's Day

To all the dads, fathers, fathers-in-law, grandfathers and godfathers ...
Happy Father's Day.

I know I miss mine!
Happy Day, Daggett!

Those of you that still have your fathers, REJOICE!!!!!

I think it's wonderful when women honor their husbands with a Father's Day card.
That speaks volumes in my book!
Happy Father's Day, Sugar Mamma Dale!
(Inside joke here ...)

And another thoughtful wife.
Kay gives this to her patriotic husband.

Celia gives this to her pilot daddy.

Jose's three "kids" give him this.

Happy Father's Day, guys!

Lottsa celebrating going on today

My dearest friend, Beverly, is celebrating today.
When I saw this image, I knew it had to go on her card.
She's always treating The Runner and me to dinner.
Or she'll come here for dinner - which she'll be doing soon.
It just seems that we have had some good times around the table.
Happy birthday, dear.

Julie and Mark are celebrating an anniversary today as well.
Keep on honeymooning ...

Sarah and Lucas will be professing their love toward each other
as they say "I DO" today.

Special time for special people.
Enjoy the celebrations.

Happy birthday, JR

This one is from his daughter.
He loves all things "American" ... and this works perfectly.

This one is from his wife.
He used to fly so I couldn't resist this paper.

Happy birthday, big guy!
Do something fun to celebrate.

Happy birthday to my grandson

I vividly remember the day he was born.
Andrew James.

I also vividly remember when Andy turned three.
I bought him a tee-ball gizmo.
Of course, we had to take it out in the yard for him to hit a few balls.
Well, the very first one was definitely a home run!!!!!
Somebody was standing about where a pitcher would stand
and nearly got his head taken off.

No, this picture is not blurry - it's poetry in motion.
It's Andy hitting a line drive.

He is still playing softball - in one or two leagues.
And he's still good.

Happy birthday, Andy!
