It went around the room a time or two

Yesterday morning was the gift exchange
in Transportation for The Runner.
Here are the items I made for him.

Card first.

A canvas.

A snowball pom pom garland.

A rolled silk rose tree.

The other two trees on this table
are ones I made years ago.
(They only got the hot pink one!)

And while we're talking about
the Transportation department
and The Runner ...

Ta da.

Not sure if you remember me
bragging on him a while back.
He was voted Employee of the Year for 2016.
In addition to getting his own assigned
parking spot right by the building,
Sewell Cadillac/BMW dealership
gave him the use of this car for the weekend.
They also gave a gift card
for Bob's Steak and Chop House,
which we will use this weekend
to celebrate our anniversary.
And since they let him use one of their cars,
while he had it,
they did a full detail on my car.
I haven't seen it yet - will do that tomorrow.
But I hear they did a great job!
Thanks, Sewell.

And there's more ...

Christmas cards, that is.
These went out in the mail just last week
so by now, they have been received.

There's something about "Mildred"
that just makes me laugh.
Certainly takes me back in time as well.

Festive little snowman, isn't he?

I could go for some hot cocoa
and a Christmas cake right now.

Anybody else feel the chill
as you look at this little person?

Angel LOVE.

I just absolutely love an old-fashioned Father Christmas!

This dapper gentleman
certainly did find a tree rich and tall.

How cute is this little boy?

Merry Christmas to all that received one of these!!

A little bit Christmas and a little bit wedding

Keeping with tradition,
here's a little sheep for Justice.

Like I said ... "tradition."
Here's a peek at last year's gift.
Similar yet quite different.

And a December marriage.

Congratulations Hayley and Jordan.

It's time to share more ...

I've finally gotten our cards in the mail
with the exception of one, which still needs to be created.

Time has gone by too quickly.
This time of year comes around
the same time every year.
Then why am I surprised
that's today is December 16
and I'm still not prepared?
Must do something about this next year.

Here's a few cards that have already
been mailed and/or delivered.
Perhaps even received by the proper parties.

If you're not ready (like me)
then I suggest you hop to it.

Three years of birds

Yes, three years.
That's how many years The Runner
gifted the children
he transported to and from school.

Every year since 2014
I created birds for him to hand out.

This year he decided he wanted snowflakes.
Snowflakes he got.
And snowflakes they got.

And one for his monitor, too.

Most of his students are new this year
but he still transports
some of the same ones that got birds every year.
I hope they're not disappointed!

Oh - and one of the little girl's mom
still has her bird hanging from the rear view mirror.
From two years ago!
So I really hope that family isn't disappointed.
