It's wonderful to be able

to add one more year to your life.

I think she has a lot of years ahead of her

before that happens.

Sympathy cards are not fun to create

But I hope they can provide a little bit of comfort

to the recipients.

Last night, a friend told me

the recipient of this card said,

"You always send the most beautiful cards."

That made me feel good.

He said ...

"The way to keep your woman

is to give her a beautiful card

and buy her flowers."

This card ...

had this on the inside

for his special message

to the woman he loves.

And it all went

inside this envelope.

I think she'll hang around!

24 years

It can't be.

I have a daughter that's old enough

to be married 24 years!!!!!

I remember the day.

It was a very cold and crisp day

in Anchorage, Alaska,

when they said "I do."

Happy anniversary, Mark and Alescia.

She has changed

Beverly never used to send cards.

Well, maybe 'rarely' is a better word than 'never.'

But now she does.

And a prerequisite is that they all have

at least one butterfly.

Rita's birthday is today

and I know she's already received her card.

Her birthday is today.

She received her gift on Saturday

but she wanted to wait to open it

on her birthday.

I couldn't wait.

Called her last night and we FaceTimed.

I wish now I would have white-washed

the skeleton.  Darnit.

These will go with birthday gifts

from the last two years.

The pumpkin started

the Halloween-themed birthday gift in 2014.

It wasn't planned, but last year she got this crow.

Next year?

A year ago yesterday, Nikki and Tiffany said "I do."

Ohhhhhhhhhh, how I miss her baking ...

She was the best baker.

Ever.

She could give Betty Crocker a run for her money.

(And probably win!)

My mom borrowed many of her recipes

and passed them down to me.

But somehow,

the finished product never measure up to hers.

I know she didn't have to bake

her own birthday cake today.
Rather than a cake,
they're having cheeseCAKE.
Just as good!
